"This is how grace works; it enters the soul, penetrates the heart, saturates the conscience, abides in the memory, affects the affections, gives understanding to the understanding, and imparts real life to the heart, which is the seat of life." Spurgeon

Once There Were Two Brothers

"I pray every single night, that my uncles will stop beating us and that we may find food tomorrow somewhere."

We laughed and wrestled and sang silly songs this week - and near the center of the magic were two brothers who love to learn, share their food with others, and always want to answer the questions to prove they were listening to our stories.

Elijah is an old soul. The eldest of two brothers, he is strong for being so skinny. Lukas is confident and tells jokes, analbert close to his brother at all times.

At 12 and 11, these boys look like they are 6 and 7. Double orphans, they stay with relatives that beat them for such offenses as taking too long to fetch bath water, or for asking for dinner (their only regular meal).

Both boys hearts were drawn to mine this week. We really bonded like father and son. I love them so much. Please consider joining me in supporting Everyorphan.org and make a difference in the life of an orphan that otherwise would have no hope.
